@ Marvin- I hope you are back home where it is warm. You will be in the Texas QSO fest also, so keep us posted. I will be at the Idaho QSO party. I hope I can make my first QSO of the year with you. 73 and keep safe.
Hi Andy, thanks for your response, I have just downloaded the correct file but not knowing what else to do cannot get it to load. I can switch to the screen which has what looks like Icom software on it but I cannot get it to do anything else than just stand by. The screen is an Aquarian 520w. I was able to load the software on the panel of my 2016 40mxr and then before connecting to my shack it shut down and that is why I thought it might be a bad batch? Regards Mike VE9KK
Hi Matt, I am in the same situation that you describe. My screen is a MediaComport 160RC and all I get when I start W2AKU is the screen which has the dangly Icom Logo on it and when I switch to Channel Listing it shuts off and shuts down completely. I loaded the software on my MediaComport 160RC and I get the same screen as I do on my panel.
I wish to know if I am correct in assuming that the serial number 1627170916 on the rear face of the screen is the same as the radio serial number. I do not have any original documentation for the radio. So, I will assume that it is? I then wish to know is this radio
These values that are not 2 digit in the serial number are not displayed in the data sheet. There was a 8 position field in the serial number. The 8 position field was used for switching "trunk" mode of operation at initial installation. The actual mode was selected by the # field value of 3. That means the serial number should have a value of 0222 or an equivalent value. Here is the typical serial number data sheet format of my serial number is 0001 0222 2200 00. I'm guessing based on the sensor mode and catalog that this is a scan mode, so based on the characteristic values of each mode (scan, sensor scan mode 1 or 2), that this is a sensor scan mode 1 serial number.I get the following messages:4005 Starting scan.4007 3d9ccd7d82
