Meeting Minutes – Dec. 11, 2007

Band Director Update

Winter Concert - combined percussion and concert band/wind ensemble rehearsals were held during tutorial. All but two students from Concert Band attended.
Eastern Washington Music Department – representatives from the music department at Eastern Washington University will be attending jazz band and wind ensemble to work with the students. This is a great opportunity for BHS students to learn about Eastern.
Basketball games – sign-ups are now underway. Students are required to attend 4 games.
Ice cream party – scheduled for Friday in Wind Ensemble.
Folios – students have an opportunity to purchase leatherette folios for their music at a reduced price and also help the band program as profits go to the band.
Winter Break – students should bring their instruments home and practice over break.

Sponsorship brochures will be handed out at Winter Concert.
SaraKatherine to E-mail forms to Webmaster to post on the web-site.
$4000 sponsorship goal.
Judges have been booked.
Central Washington University Jazz Band under the direction of Chris Bruya will be the guest artist.

Received donations of $250 and $100 to the Boosters.
Added a Donate button the web-site and people can donate to the Boosters using Paypal.

Awards concert will be early this year: May 29^th at 7:30 . Volunteers will be needed for Desert Reception and for coordinating cups, plates & napkins.
