| Festival Coordinators: Vince Caruso Christine Hillier * Registration begins in January, 2009 This Bellevue Jazz Festival showcases the talents of 25 middle and junior high school bands competing on Friday, May 1st. Another 25 high school bands, representing A-AA, AAA and AAAA divisions, will compete on Saturday, May 2nd. All of the adjudicated sessions will take place in the Performing Arts Center at Bellevue High School. An evening finals concert will follow both days of preliminary performances. On Friday evening, the top three middle school and the top three junior high bands will perform. On Saturday night, the finals feature top bands from each of the high school divisions. Trophies will be presented to the first, second and third place winners in each of the following divisions: Middle School, Junior High School, A-AA, AAA and AAAA. There will also be “Outstanding Soloist” awards presented. Finally, a revolving “Sweepstakes Trophy” will be awarded to the best overall band from both days’ competitions, as determined by our distinguished panel of adjudicators.
