7:30 am

Attend 1st & 2nd period classes

Early dismissal from 2nd period

Attendance in arcade & Load bus

9:20

Bus leaves BHS

11:00

Lunch in Ellensburg

12:00 pm

Arrive at CWU. Unload gear and store in Music Building

12:30

Listen to CWU Symphonic Band & Mt. Spokane HS (both required)

Listen to Mountain View HS & Mead HS (both required)

5:00

CWU Wind Ensemble & Jazz Band 1 (required listening)

Load bus, then a quick dinner, and head for home

Arrive BHS

Attire

Men:    Black dress pants

Ladies:  Black dress, suit, or outfit

           Black, long sleeved dress shirt

              Black shoes

           Gold neck tie

           Black socks and dress shoes

Bring

  • Instruments, sticks, mallets, mouthpiece, reeds, mutes, etc..
  • All music, in a folder, with your name on it
  • All necessary percussion equipment
  • $$ for lunch & dinner (or a sack lunch)
  • A positive “festival attitude” and an open mind

Remember.....

Listening critically and respectfully to the other bands is required. You must be in the auditorium, not wandering the building. Listening can teach us many things about our own group. All wind ensemble members are required to take full advantage of this opportunity. Any comments about other groups or individuals should be positive.  Please make responsible choices that reflect positively on yourselves, your community, and BHS.
