As you may know, BHS is undergoing extensive renovation and the old music wing will be torn down in a couple years. Before the walls come tumbling down, we’d like to get all BHS Band Alumni together to walk through the old band room again and maybe even march the Homecoming parade in October 2011, along with the 120 members of the BHS Band.

Planned Alumni Events (Provided we have enough participation)

Here's what we have planned:

• Friday, October 28 - March in the Homecoming parade down Main Street
• Friday, October 28 -Perform during halftime at the Homecoming game  (Alumni would join the high school band on the field and stand still and play 1-2 songs, NO REAL MARCHING INVOLVED)
• Saturday, October 29 - BHS Alumni Band Reunion/Reception. All previous BHS Band directors will be invited. We are excited that Al Jones and Vince Caruso are planning on attending. 
• Saturday, October 29 - Perform in an Alumni Jazz Band (Music would be mailed in advance, there would be a minimum of 1 rehearsal on the morning of October 29^th)
• Saturday, October 29 - Sit in with the current BHS Jazz Band (Music would be mailed in advance(.
• Saturday, October 29 - Solo with the current BHS Jazz Band

We need your information! We ask that BHS Band Alumni take a minute and fill out the online form and then spread the word to others that were in band with you. We’re still in the beginning phases of planning but if there is a big enough turnout we could have 3-4 practices to brush up on the Fight Song and learn a drum cadence in preparation for the Homecoming parade down Main Street. Over the years a wealth of musical talent has passed through the halls of Bellevue High. A gathering of the talent, past and present would be a memorable event. An opportunity for the "old" to be young again and an opportunity for the young to see the lasting influence that music can have in one's life. Take a moment to consider this opportunity.
